REAL ESTATE LENDING MANAGER – full time exempt

Core competencies include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the smooth & compliant operation of all Commercial and Real Estate lending operations
  • Manage the building a long-term financial relationship with each member through active participation in the Credit Union’s consultative service culture initiatives
  • Monitor and make decisions on appropriate credit risk while growing a well-balanced loan portfolio
  • Provide analysis and reporting on department activities and production levels
  • Manage the process of  credit decisions on Commercial and Real Estate loan applications
  • Review credit worthiness of commercial and Real Estate loan applicants
  • Prepare credit memos with recommendation on commercial loan applications
  • Manage the review documentations on loans and ensure completeness
  • Insure compliance with Federal, State and local banking regulations
  • Provide support to inter- and intra-departmental staff as needed
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Education and Skill Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years’ financial institution experience with similar job functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications, active listening, positive attitude, deportment)
  • Proficient in computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite) with the ability to learn new software as required
  • At least 3 years’ experience with managing employees
  • Experience in Mortgage sales and servicing
  • Experience with Commercial Real Estate, Multifamily and Mixed used lending
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as working on an individual basis
  • Strategic mindset

MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – LENDING OPERATIONS – Full time, non-exempt (35 hour work week)

Essential Functions

  • Insure smooth & compliant operation of all lending operations

  • Monitor and make decisions on appropriate credit risk for Real Estate pre-qualifications

  • Review documentations on loans and ensure completeness

  • Provide support for “front line” processing and insure compliance with banking regulations.

  • Build a long-term financial relationship with each member through active participation in the Credit Union’s consultative service culture initiatives

  • Use member onboarding program and other member interactions as opportunities to identify member’ needs and long-term financial goals and educate him/her of the potential product and service solutions

  • Provide timely follow up for each product or service referral

  • Consult with members and staff on account issues and identify member’ needs and long-term financial goals and educate him/her of the potential product and service solutions

  • Work with other departments in the efficient processing of member requests

  • Provide timely follow up for each product or service referral

  • Provide support to inter- and intra-departmental staff as needed

Education and Skill Experience

  • A High school diploma or GED required; some college credits preferred

  • At least three years’ experience with selling mortgage products

  • At least three years with financial institution experience with similar job functions required

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as working alone

ACCOUNTING CLERK

Essential Functions

Core competencies include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Perform a variety of activities to assist the accounting manager in maintaining the financial, statistical, and accounting records of the credit union.
  • Enter data into accounting systems and update various spreadsheets on a daily basis.  Journalize all necessary transactions and verify general ledger is in balance. 
  • On a daily basis, verify and balance teller sheets from all branches.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to reconcile daily debit card, credit card, and shared branching settlements; investigate and clear suspense items.
  • Perform all tasks associated with the daily posting of corporate draft clearings.
  • Perform accounts payable function to include data entry of invoices, disbursing checks, and scanning paid invoices.
  • Review and enter employee expenses into the general ledger after receiving proper authorization.
  • Assist in month-end close and financial statement preparation as required.
  • Assist the accounting manager in working with regulatory agency examiners and auditors in the completion of NCUA exams and financial statement audits.
  • Attain and maintain knowledge of all credit union services while maintaining member confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. 

Education and Skill Experience

  • Minimum one year accounting work experience is required.
  • Proficient in office equipment including, but not limited to: PC, 10-key calculator, and software such as Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to learn new software programs as required. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications), active listening, attitude, deportment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
