Accounting Manager – Full time, Exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Ensure accurate and efficient completion of Accounting department functions; perform backup function(s) as necessary
  • Establish, implement and update Credit Union’s policies and procedures within areas of responsibility
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with laws and regulations, recommending/implementing changes when necessary
  • Ensure effective training and utilization of department staff to meet the credit union’s needs and to assure quality service objectives
  • Responsible for all aspects of monthly financial statement package preparation
  • Oversee quarterly report preparation such as NCUA 5300 call report and ESI premium report    
  • Ensure timely and accurate updating of ALM software, including report preparation and analysis
  • Responsible for the timely preparation of annual budget using ALM software
  • Active participation in Asset Liability Committee, required meetings, and training sessions
  • Conduct special accounting studies, analyses, and special projects as requested
  • Attain and maintain knowledge of all credit union services while maintaining member confidentiality
  • Provide support to CFO as requested
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

 
Education and Skill Experience

  • A four-year degree in accounting with a minimum three years’ supervisory experience is required; a minimum three years of financial institution experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as working independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications), active listening, positive attitude
  • Good analytical skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word with the ability to learn new software programs as required

Member Services and Operations Manager - Full time, Exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Manage staff to provide support for “front line” processing and insure compliance with banking/credit union regulations while monitoring member accounts for Fraud and Compliance Issues.
  • Manage staff and Supervisor on handling member account issues and identifying the member’ needs and long-term financial goals.
  • Educate the staff on recognizing the potential product and service solutions.
  • Manage testing life cycle for all Operations job functions when release updates are installed by IT for Core (Spectrum) software releases.
  • Manage staff and Supervisor to handle scheduling & coverage of staff to handle the business needs.
  • Manage staff and Supervisor to handle all areas of back office processing including:
    • Resolution of Fraud complaint both via deposits and Visa Debit Card including submitting Bond Claims to insurer.
    • The life cycle process regarding vehicle titles, GAP claims, Mechanical brake down claims, Credit Life and Disability Claims and any other insurance related questions.
    • Same day ACH processing.
    • The life cycle process of filing SARs and CTRS.
    • The decedent death process and disbursement of funds life cycle.
    • The processing of mail.
    • The processing of back office member transactions up to and including all back-office exception processing.
    • The dormant account and escheat life cycle for member accounts.
    • Record retention.
    • Vendor management.
    • BSA Compliance Manager – Fiserv AML Manager administrator.
    • NMLS administrator.
    • Provide compliance and Operations reports to management, supervisory committee and board.
    • Other duties as assigned.

 Education and Skill Experience 

  • Bachelors degree in business (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in managing staff (ie. performance, disciplinary actions, career development, etc.)
  • At least five (5) years prior Financial institution experience with similar job functions.

Call Center MSR Representative - Full time (40 hour work week), Non-exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Researching ad solving member questions, problems, and complaints concerning Credit Union accounts.
  • Account verifications.
  • Cross-selling Credit Union services.
  • Processing various transactions on member accounts.
  • Transferring member to appropriate department or person.
  • Assist members with basic questions regarding their loans.
  • Continuously check member service voice mail and respond to messages accordingly.
  • Order debit cards, check copies, and statements when requested.
  • Process incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests.
  • Perform stop payments on share draft and Credit Union checks.
  • Responsible for researching member inquiries to ensure proper follow-up & member satisfaction.
  • Meet Call Center metrics objectives for talk time, work time, number of calls handled and maintaining a status of available or on a call and minimizing abandoned call center incoming calls.
  • Responsible for maintaining and adhering to scheduled breaks and lunches for the purpose of maintaining the call centers capacity plan and service levels.
  • Meets call monitoring quality objectives.
  • Responsible for assessing members needs and opportunities for increasing product relationship between Atlantic FCU and the member.
  • Utilize technology for lead generation, profiling, and consultative selling to enhance relationships.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Education and Skill Experience 

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.  Some college credits preferred
  • At least two (2) years in a financial institution with similar job functions. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications), active listening, positive attitude, deportment.
  • Sufficient typing skills (i.e. 40 wpm)
  • Proficient in office equipment such as, but not limited to, PC, MS Office and the ability to learn new software programs as required.

Member Service Representative – Lending Operations – Full time (40 hour work week), Non-exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Insure smooth & compliant operation of all lending operations

  • Monitor and make decisions on appropriate credit risk for Real Estate pre-qualifications

  • Review documentations on loans and ensure completeness

  • Provide support for “front line” processing and insure compliance with banking regulations.

  • Build a long-term financial relationship with each member through active participation in the Credit Union’s consultative service culture initiatives

  • Use member onboarding program and other member interactions as opportunities to identify member’ needs and long-term financial goals and educate him/her of the potential product and service solutions

  • Provide timely follow up for each product or service referral

  • Consult with members and staff on account issues and identify member’ needs and long-term financial goals and educate him/her of the potential product and service solutions

Education and Skill Experience

  • A High school diploma or GED required; some college credits preferred

Internal Auditor - Full time (40 hour work week), Exempt position:

Essential Functions

  • Position has dual accountability to the CEO (administratively) as well as Supervisory Committee (functionally)
  • Conduct all aspects of audits and ongoing reviews of credit union controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations
  • Make recommendations on the systems, processes, policies, and procedures being reviewed, report on the findings and recommendations, and monitor management's responses
  • Report on the adequacy of credit union systems, processes, and internal controls, focused on safeguarding credit union assets
  • Consult with management in the development of policies and procedures to ensure the credit union is mitigating risk in all areas
  • Assist in the development of the annual integrated internal audit plan and program
  • Work with the credit union’s management team to prepare an annual internal risk assessment to identify major risks, enhance quality controls, and build best business practices
  • Maintain open and effective communication and reporting with both the Supervisory Committee and the credit union’s management team
  • Provide the Supervisory Committee appropriate training on the topics of risk and internal controls and other areas as requested
  • Act as main point of contact with outside audit firm in coordinating annual opinion audit
  • Review audit work papers and reports with regulators and outside auditors
  • Attend annual training as required and as appropriate
  • Perform related duties as required or assigned

Education and Skill Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of two years auditing experience with a financial institution, credit union experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of credit union or banking operations and accounting practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of audit procedures, government regulation and compliance as related to credit unions or banks

Consumer Loan Underwriter – Full time (40 hour work week), Non-exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Build a long-term financial relationship with each member through active participation in the Credit Union’s consultative service culture initiatives
  • Use member onboarding program and other member interactions as opportunities to identify member’ needs and long-term financial goals and educate him/her of the potential product and service solutions
  • Provide timely follow up for each product or service referral  
  • Provide support to inter- and intra-departmental staff as needed
  • Analyze applicant credit data, financial status, financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Ensure loan decisions are timely, complete and in accordance to policy and requirements set out in regulation.
  • Review and updates credit and loan files.
  • Maintain relationship with loan sales staff to obtain further information, present data or explain policy or procedures
  • Stay abreast of all Federal, State and Local laws and apply rules to policy and procedure decisions.
  • Generate financial ratios, using lending platform to evaluate member financial status.

Part Time Teller - (20 hours per week, Mandatory Thursdays and Saturdays)

Essential Functions

  • Perform traditional teller functions such as cash drawer balancing and processing member transaction requests such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
  • Work with other departments in the efficient processing of member requests
  • Consistently promote credit union products and services
  • Proactively identify members needs while referring members to appropriate staff
  • Safeguard the assets of the branch by assuring that cash procedures are followed, administering and enforcing all security procedures, complying with BSA and all federal regulations relating to branch operations
  • Provide support to inter- and intra-departmental staff as needed up to and including covering other departments and branches.
  • Flexibility with scheduling/coverage due to business needs
  • Other duties as assigned
