MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – LENDING OPERATIONS – Full time, non-exempt (35 hour work week)

Essential Functions

  • Insure smooth & compliant operation of all lending operations

  • Monitor and make decisions on appropriate credit risk for Real Estate pre-qualifications

  • Review documentations on loans and ensure completeness

  • Provide support for “front line” processing and insure compliance with banking regulations.

  • Build a long-term financial relationship with each member through active participation in the Credit Union’s consultative service culture initiatives

  • Use member onboarding program and other member interactions as opportunities to identify member’ needs and long-term financial goals and educate him/her of the potential product and service solutions

  • Provide timely follow up for each product or service referral

  • Consult with members and staff on account issues and identify member’ needs and long-term financial goals and educate him/her of the potential product and service solutions

  • Work with other departments in the efficient processing of member requests

  • Provide timely follow up for each product or service referral

  • Provide support to inter- and intra-departmental staff as needed

Education and Skill Experience

  • A High school diploma or GED required; some college credits preferred

  • At least three years’ experience with selling mortgage products

  • At least three years with financial institution experience with similar job functions required

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as working alone

ELECTRONIC SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

Essential Functions

  • Perform all aspects of ACH processing to include, but not limited to: retrieving “raw” files; transfer files to mainframe computer; initiate system jobs to post files and fee accounts for courtesy pay and NSF items; process exception items; balance advice files to posting reports.
  • Process and correct all EFT transactions transmitted daily.
  • Process all Government Reclamations, levies and subpoenas.
  • Process Visa Debit Card disputes life cycle.
  • Process SEG (Select Employee Groups) payrolls in a timely manner.
  • Process shared branching returned items thru co-op network.
  • Perform all tasks associated with the daily posting of share draft clearings to members’ accounts to include, but not limited to: retrieving “raw” files via the internet from the secured Alloya Corporate FCU site; transfer files to mainframe computer; initiate system jobs to post clearings and fee accounts for courtesy pay and NSF items; print and mail courtesy pay and NSF notices; honor/return exception items.
  • Process paper statement fees exceptions.
  • Work with other departments in the efficient processing of member requests.
  • Provide support to inter- and intra-departmental staff as needed.
  • Build long-term financial relationship with each member through active participation in the Credit Union’s consultative service culture initiatives.
  • Assist in solving member related issues or questions on EFT/ACH.
  • Back up to call center when needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Education and Skill Experience

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college credits preferred.
  • At least two (2) years in a financial institution with similar job functions.  Must have EFT experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications), active listening, positive attitude, deportment.
  • Sufficient typing skills (i.e. 40 wpm)
  • Proficient in office equipment such as, but not limited to, PC, MS Office and the ability to learn new software programs as required.
