Staff Accountant - Full time (40 hour work week), Non-exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and post daily/monthly general ledger transactions including, but not limited to: investment and participation loan activity and schedules, prepaid and fixed asset subsidiary ledgers
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger for various accounts as assigned
  • Perform all aspects of the accounts payable function; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare all bank reconciliations prior to the month-end close; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Review and analyze financial data
  • Generate a variety of reports as requested by management including insurance product reporting and member excess share insurance reports
  • Cross-train in the preparation of the quarterly NCUA 5300 call report; serve as backup when necessary
  • Cross-train in all accounting clerk functions; serve as backup when necessary
  • Assist in working with regulatory agency examiners and auditors in the completion of NCUA exams and financial statement audits
  • Attain and maintain knowledge of all credit union services while maintaining member confidentiality.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Education and Skill Experience 

  • Minimum two year degree in accounting or five years of accounting experience in a financial institution is required
  • Proficient in office equipment including, but not limited to: PC, 10-key calculator, and software such as Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to learn new software programs as required
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications), active listening, attitude, deportment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Branch Manager - Full time (40 hour work week), Exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Primary responsibility is to work outside of the office pursuing new business development opportunities, gaining new business relationships and retention of all existing relationships
  • Maintains a strong presence within the local community through active involvement and leadership roles in various professional organizations and community events
  • Through the development and implementation of a sound business plan, focus on proactive and innovative branch initiatives to promote branch growth, member retention and achievement of all annual production goals and key objectives
  • Provide strong leadership through effective communication, coaching and leading by example
  • Safeguard the assets of the branch by assuring that cash procedures are followed, administering and enforcing all security procedures, complying with BSA and all federal regulations relating to branch operations
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings and daily observations of the member experience, ensuring that members are receiving superior customer service using needs based selling techniques applied through effective profiling
  • Safeguard the assets of the branch by assuring that cash procedures are followed, administering and enforcing all security procedures, complying with BSA and all federal regulations relating to branch operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Flexibility with scheduling/coverage due to business needs
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor

Education and Skill Experience 

  • A Bachelors’ degree or comparable professional training is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years of banking experience, or comparable professional experience, of which at least three (3) has been as an Assistant Manager, Personal Banker or Branch Development experience is required
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills are necessary
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of employees to exceed all sales and service expectations
  • Proficient in computer skills (ie. Microsoft Office Suite) with the ability to learn new software as required

MSR Retail Branches - Full time (40 hour work week), Non-exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Build a long-term financial relationship with each member through active participation in the Credit Union’s consultative service culture initiatives
  • Use member onboarding program and other member interactions as opportunities to identify member needs and long-term financial goals and educate him/her of the potential product and service solutions
  • Assist members with online /mobile access, account review, as well as account opening and closures
  • Work with other departments in the efficient processing of member transactions on their loan and deposit accounts
  • Safeguard the assets of the branch by assuring that cash procedures are followed, administering and enforcing all security procedures, complying with BSA and all federal regulations relating to branch operations
  • Perform traditional teller functions such as cash drawer balancing and processing member transaction requests such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, as well as assist the branch supervisor in ordering and auditing cash and money orders for the branch
  • Provide support to inter- and intra-departmental staff as needed up to and including covering other departments and branches
  • Flexibility with scheduling/coverage due to business needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Skill Experience 

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.  Some college credits preferred
  • At least two (2) years in a financial institution with similar job functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications), active listening, positive attitude, deportment
  • Sufficient typing skills (i.e. 40 wpm)
  • Proficient in computer software MS Excel and Word with the ability to learn new software programs as required

Teller - Part time (Normal hours averaging 20 hours per week), Non-exempt position

Essential Functions

  • Perform traditional teller functions such as cash drawer balancing and processing member transaction requests such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers 
  • Work with other departments in the efficient processing of member requests 
  • Consistently promote credit union products and services   
  • Proactively identify members needs while referring members to appropriate staff  
  • Safeguard the assets of the branch by assuring that cash procedures are followed, administering and enforcing all security procedures, complying with BSA and all federal regulations relating to branch operations 
  • Provide support to inter- and intra-departmental staff as needed up to and including covering other departments and branches. 
  • Flexibility with scheduling/coverage due to business needs 
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Skill Experience 

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Some college credits preferred  At least 1-2 years’ experience in the banking industry preferred
  • Experience as a customer service representative or cashier preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications)
  • Proficient in office equipment such as, but not limited to, PC, 10-key calculator, copier and software such as MS Word and Excel with the ability to learn new software programs as required
